Keeping a house clean during construction is a real challenge, but it pays off for the customer in the long run. Ensuring that vents and hard to reach places are free of dust and debris will promote better indoor air quality, and reduce the amount of dusting required. After the house is complete we power vacuum the ventilation system, but that can still leave some residual dust.

We have come up with a couple of preventative measures after the heating systems (HVAC and fireplaces) are installed to reduce dust from getting into these areas. Vents are ‘hard-protected’ with sacrificial vent covers and covered again with screen (as in photo, fireplaces are clad with poly until the tile setter arrives on site.

These are just a couple simple things we have come up with to make us better, ‘Behind The Paint’ .
