This year for thanksgiving I purchased a turkey deep fryer from Bass Pro Shop in Balzac. A friend of mine showed me how to do it safely. The advantages are that it takes a lot less time, you have more room in your kitchen for other meal items and the turkey ended up tasting great! There are some safety precautions that you should be aware of.
1. Make sure you measure the proper amount of oil you will need
2. The turkey must be completely dry
3. have a fire extinguisher on hand
4. have a stable and non combustible surface to cook on (a patio away from the house is best)
