Did you know that Carstairs has a Community Engagement Site?
Community Engagement Sites (CES) are in Central Alberta communities. In Mountain View County, sites are fully operational in Carstairs, Cremona, Olds, Sundre and soon Didsbury will be joining us. Each CES offers community members access to services and learning opportunities that were previously not available; health care information, professional development opportunities and post
secondary education to name a few. We can do this because our site has state of the art high definition video-conferencing,
SMARTBOARD© technology, wireless internet, stereo sound system, a high definition document camera and Blu-ray©DVD player.
Where is the Carstairs CES? Your CES is located in the foyer to the back of the library entrance. We come together to learn, be entertained, meet or connect to high speed internet via computer or video conference.
Why have a CES? Your CES provides learning opportunities for rural community members, strengthen connections between
community & education, promote lifelong learning & connect the school, community, organizations & individuals with people who share like needs.
How can I support my Carstairs CES?
Our Rural Alberta Development Funding ends June 30th, 2011. No one community organization can run a CES. We need YOU!
This is a great resource in our town, please let the Town Council, of Carstairs, the County of Mountain View Council or CES Coordinator know this is a resource you want kept in our rural community. Jan Thompson (CES Coordinator) can be contacted about learning opportunities of interest to you! To be placed on our e-mailing list, drop Jan an email: email@example.com
