Carstairs First Annual Show & Shine a success

For any of you that had the opportunity to get out yesterday and enjoy the beautiful weather while in downtown Carstairs, you probably spent a little time ogling over dozens of beautifully restored classic cars.  Thanks to the Fuel Junkies (Carstairs’ local car club) over a hundred people had the chance to view these cars and talk to their owners.  From Mustang to Mercury, Belair to Beaumont there was a little of everything on hand.  The undisputed highlight of the day was the burnout competition where local entrant, Dave Taylor, took home the honours for the most impressive stationary use of horsepower!

For those of you who could not make it, here is a glimpse of what to expect at next year’s event.  Thanks to FuddyTv,  MediaPop and Rob Jamieson for being on hand to record the event.  The Carstairs Fire Department was on hand to provide fire protection and medical services (which thankfully were not required) – Thanks Guys.  Gold Seal Homes was proud to sponsor the awards for this event and have committed to all upcoming events.  For more information on the Fuel Junkies car club and how to become a member click here.
